Why do I know what is inside without opening it?
Reported often and it is the unearned-certainty machinery in a very compact form.
The dreamer knows. They could say what it is. Nothing established it, nobody told them, and the box has not been opened.
This whole database runs on that mechanism, and a box is the tidiest possible demonstration of it: a sealed container, a confident belief, and a gap between them that nothing crosses.
It also explains why so few dreamers open it. There is no reason to look inside something whose contents you already know, so the dream is never asked to produce them.
