What does it mean to dream that you betrayed someone?
The inverse, reported less often and asked about less, because dreamers are more reluctant to describe it.
The structure mirrors the killing and guilt material closely: the dreamer does something they would not do, feels the guilt fully, and wakes carrying it. As with those, the dream is not a disclosure about character. Dreams recruit whatever produces the strongest feeling available, and betraying somebody trusted is among the strongest.
Where the dreamer is genuinely weighing something difficult, the dream may well be using it. That is worth noticing, and it is still not evidence of intent.

Naming it usually helps. People regularly report carrying this one silently and being relieved to find it common.
Where it is harder
The guilt persists disproportionately, and dreamers sometimes behave differently towards the person as a result, which is the actual cost.

Who did I betray? Would I actually do it? Is there a real decision I am avoiding?
