What does it mean to see an accident in a dream?
The dreamer is usually a witness rather than a participant, and reports emphasise the moment before impact: the awareness that it is going to happen and cannot be stopped.
That anticipatory structure is shared with the disaster dreams and with watching someone fall. It is a helplessness dream more than a violence one.
Reports very often stop at the moment of impact. The dream ends where the fear peaks, which is the same sampling effect that shapes falling dreams.

The aftermath is rarely dreamed. Whatever this is doing, it is not rehearsing consequences.

Not a premonition. If a dream has made you anxious about a real journey, that anxiety is worth addressing directly. The dream is not evidence.
