What does it mean to see the same figure repeatedly?
Repetition is what makes an account archive material rather than an anecdote, so this variant matters more here than anywhere else on the site.
The question that has to be asked, and that most collections never ask, is whether the repetition is independent. A dreamer who has read about a figure, seen an image of it, or discussed it may reproduce it, which is why the report form asks directly whether you had heard of the figure beforehand and whether you were shown a name or picture before describing it.
That is not scepticism about your experience. It is the only way a repeated report can carry any weight at all.

Repeated first-person accounts from someone with no prior exposure are the strongest evidence this archive collects. If that is you, a report would be genuinely valuable.
Where they differ, and what to be careful of
Prior exposure does not make an experience less real. It makes it unusable as independent evidence, which is a different thing and worth not confusing.
