Seeing something move in a way a body should not
What does it mean to dream about a figure crawling wrongly?
Locomotion is the whole of these reports. Movement that is recognisably a person and recognisably wrong: too many joints, the wrong articulation, crawling across a ceiling.
That wrongness is what is remembered, and dreamers frequently report being unable to describe it afterwards despite the clarity at the time.
That gap is the reportable feature. Vivid at the moment, unsayable afterwards, which is what happens when a dream produces an impression of wrongness without producing the specific arrangement that would justify it.
Where this occurs on waking with immobility, the sleep paralysis material applies and explains the presence of an intruder figure fully.
What the reports agree on
The paralysis explanation covers a substantial share, and the description gap is itself informative rather than a failure of memory.
Where they differ, and what to be careful of
Among the more disturbing figures reported, and dreamers describe it as hard to shake.
Worth recording if this was yours
Could I move? Could I describe how it moved? Was it in my real room?
Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
