The water coming over the sea wall

I was on the front at Weston and the sea came over the wall in one piece, like a lid closing. I got as far as the car park. I have never been in a flood and I do not know why this is the one that keeps coming back.

A lid closing is a horrible image and a very good description. I do not have anything useful to add. I just did not want to read it and say nothing.
