Maya

My grandmother in her kitchen

29 July 2026

She was making something and did not turn round, and I knew she had died but it did not seem to matter. I woke up feeling completely fine, which surprised me.

Mine was my father, about eight months after. Doing something completely ordinary in the kitchen and not turning round. I have never known what to do with how much better I felt afterwards.

That is it exactly. The feeling better is the part I could not explain to anybody. Thank you for saying it.

Not turning round seems to be almost universal in these. Mine never do either, and I have stopped finding it eerie.

I had one almost exactly like this about my grandfather, about a year after. He was doing something ordinary and did not look up either. I woke up feeling better than I had in weeks and could not explain why to anyone.
